The sad truth.

Just the other day I was wacthing tv and a man was saying that church attendence in general is at an all time low, less people go to church today than ever before. I don't know about you but that's a scary thought, you would stand a better chance of getting someone to go to a party than you would getting them to go to church. over the last two months I've been in attendence at a few bible studies around Canton and 80% of them had fewer than 15 people, some even less than 10. To me that means that Christians are failing to make an impact in the witnessing department, In my own opinion I think it's because we leave God locked up inside the Church after Sunday service. Upon dismissal most of us fade back into society and become as one with the world around us, never showing any signs of Chistianity and thats wrong. The spirit of God cannot be contained, if he be in you then you'll be a stand out person, everywhere you go people will be able to see the anoinment of the lord shining in your life. The reason people would know is because of what you're doing, talking to people at the market place, helping those in need, inviting people to bible study at the bank and proclaiming the word of God in all things. Somehow Christians have backed away from doing those things and as a result the faith of many have been shaking, not only that but how can we expose others to the glory of the lord if we don't live our lives as a living example. If you are a Christian and you're reading this then assume your responsibility and start inviting some people to get to know him for themselves.

Christianity can sometimes be a rocky road to fallow, it's not always peaches and cream as some chose to think. To be a member of Gods family is truely a joyful thing but the troubles of life can at times throw us off track, at times of weakness Chriatians can always reach out to Gods unchanging hand which is always there. As simple as that sounds one would be suprised to know how many Christians forget about that or fail to draw upon such a great power. I think the problem is that most Christians just don't understand how God works, when dealing with us humans he works through what we know best ( other humans ) that's why it's important to have fellowship with one another, just as he used the prophets during biblical times he still spread his messages through people today. I have included a link in this post that is a good resource if you are in need of a Christian support group or even if you are a mature Christian that enjoy online fellowship this is the place for you, check it out.

As a  Christians it's very important to have fellowship with other believe, faith-space.com is a great place to meet other people who has dedicated their lives to the lord. one of the most destructive things a servent of God can do is to try and take the walk of faith without the support of the body of believers, this can only lead to a falling away. I once had the bebefit of speaking to a minister who shared an example with me in a way I clearly understood.  He said that if you build a fire of many logs they will burn brite and hot, however if one log is removed from that fire it burns out quickly(but) when placed back in the fire it can draw fire from the others and be rekindled. Christians are much the same, that's why God tells us to practice unity in the body so that we can have a strong support system which better enable us to withstand Satan's constant attacks.
